REGULATIONS 

“On the Republic of Tajikistan’s Ministry of Health”

1. General provisions

       1. Republic of Tajikistan’s Ministry of Health (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) is the Republic of Tajikistan’s central authority responsible for working out and implementation of a uniform state policy and regulation of norms of activity in the field of public health care.

      2. In its activity, the Ministry is guided by the Republic of Tajikistan’s Constitution, the Republic of Tajikistan’s Law “On public health care” and other laws of the country, decisions of the Republic of Tajikistan’s Majlisi Oli (Parliament), decrees of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and decisions of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, international legal documents recognised in the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as by the present Regulations.

      3. The Ministry, together with relevant structures of local executive public authorities and ministries (departments) of the Republic, form the unified system of state management that ensures the implementation of a uniform state policy in the field of public health care.

      4. The Ministry co-ordinates the activity of other ministries and departments of the Republic, enterprises and other organisations, irrespective of patterns of ownership and departmental subordination, as well as local executive authorities in what regards the questions within its competence.

       5. The standards, regulations, norms and specifications worked out and endorsed, in due order, by the Ministry are obligatory for execution by all ministries and departments of the Republic of Tajikistan, local executive powers, enterprises, establishments and organisations, as well as by physical persons engaged in activity in the field of public health care.
